Role Overview…

As a SOX Analyst you will assist in identifying, developing and implementing SOX controls here at SBG. The role will include the creation of a controls framework that can be used by both management and external auditors. You will contribute to the SOX implementation process thorough planning, testing and documentation of relevant processes and controls and prepare reporting on the effectiveness of financial reporting for delivery to senior management and the Audit Committee.

What you’ll do…

As a SOX Analyst you will identify areas of potential improvement for key processes and procedures, supporting the management of the related processes and procedures. You will engage with different business owners on implementation, execution and compliance with entity level controls and assist in the development of a SOX control framework. As a SOX Analyst you will review SOX controls to ensure they are operating effectively and work closely with key business areas to identify control deficiencies for escalation to the Audit Committee.

How you’ll do it…

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate a relevant professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) as well as having a sound knowledge of auditing principles, standards, IIA standards and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. You will have experience of working with SOX controls including implementation and monitoring whilst reporting any assurance performance to senior stakeholders. You will be part of a newly created team and must be able to demonstrate the ability to build positive working relationships within the business and be able to operate in fast paced environment.
