What you will do…

As an Agile Delivery Lead you will be working within the Enterprise Services tribe within Sky Betting and Gaming. The tribe supports the technical delivery of the customer operations platform and all employee centric services within the company.

As an Agile Delivery Lead, you will;

Take responsibility for the planning of key initiative and sprints, managing external dependencies, day to day management of 3rd parties, issues and risks
Ensure the right squad ceremonies are in place. (sprint planning, backlog grooming, standups, retrospectives)
Manage cross-team communication and coordination to ensure that dependencies are understood and well managed in order to deliver the end product successfully
Prevent, identify and proactively remove blockers to enable progress of the Squad
Support planning delivery timelines with the engineering manager based on feedback and estimation from squad and identifying any potential disruptions before they become a problem
Provide over arching delivery plans where required
Work with the business to provide communication plans
Work alongside the relative internal support functions to manage and coordinate 3rd party negotiations for both new and existing contracts
Evolve agile and lean techniques – developing the squad’s Kanban, and lean ways of working to optimise delivery
Facilitate the inception and delivery of new initiatives outside of your usual team domain
Report to multiple stakeholders. It’s important to ensure they are all aligned and expectations are well managed
Have lean process awareness and a continuous improvement mentality

 How you will do it …

Reporting into the Head of Architecture and Delivery

You will have a good understanding of Agile principals, including Scrum and Kanban methodologies, along with a willingness to evolve these principles
You will focus on cross squad and department communication, which is critical to delivery success – you will be at the forefront of making this happen
Your exceptional leadership skills will ensure that you are seen as a role model and able to influence teams with your knowledge and experience of delivery and Agile ways of working
You will be approachable, open minded and have an ability to work well with people at all levels of the business
You will be outcome focused with the ability to determine what adds value and what does not
You will demonstrate initiative, inquisitiveness and never be satisfied with the status-quo – always challenging the team and supporting them to be more efficient and advance their skills.
You will use clear, concise and influential communication, using insightful reports and raising issues to stakeholders and keeping them up to date on a regular basis
You will be confident and credible when working with the leadership team
You are passionate about communication, group dynamics and coaching and you are not afraid to raise issues and drive change to remove impediments from your team. You’ll be working with a very talented team who love what they do – and we expect no less from you
You will have an insatiable appetite for learning new things and improving existing ones. If you’re the right one for us, you pay attention to details and take great pride in your work

We will consider remote working (with at least 50% of time being in the base office), part-time working and flexible hours to accommodate your personal circumstances, providing we can meet our business needs.
