Leeds City Council is transforming local public services by putting technology at the heart of the organisation and is looking to fill key positions within the Application Development, Training & Support Team within the Digital & Information Service (DIS).
The BI environment is a complex mix of in-house developments and new and legacy 3rdparty applications which in many cases require complex reporting solutions. The team are involved in a variety of exciting and innovative projects covering challenges such as linkages to the NHS, updating Adult Social Care reporting and migrating away from legacy systems.
We are now looking to recruit to the following Developer roles at mid and senior levels:
As a member of the BI & Data Warehousing team you will have the opportunity to work on major transformation programmes delivering exciting and challenging technical solutions for the second largest local authority in the UK. You are our ideal candidate if you have:
– specialist expertise and knowledge relating to any of the technologies and toolsets listed below
– experience of working in a similar development environment
You will need:
– In depth knowledge of BI & Data Warehousing concepts and methodologies
– In depth knowledge of development methodologies.
– experience of ensuring appropriate support arrangements are in place when considering the design and build of solutions
– to be able to work well in a team
– to be able to interact well with the business not using technical jargon
You will need extensive knowledge and experience in at least one of the following technologies and tools:
MS SQL Server Suite of Products (SSAS/SSIS/SSRS)
T-SQL, PL/SQL, DAX
Power BI & Power View
We have posts at different levels. Appointments will be made based on skills/experience and progression to higher grades will be subject to further interview.
