Overview

We’re on the lookout for a Senior Strategist to join our team here in Leeds. The successful candidate will be responsible for devising strategies that help our clients become more efficient, competitive and achieve their business goals.

As a Senior Specialist sitting within a client team/pod, you’ll need to combine your deep channel knowledge and insight, with your commercial and strategic awareness to devise winning strategies for the clients within your portfolio.

Working closely with a small group of strategic thinkers, each an expert in their own channel, together you will identify the right channel mix to efficiently and effectively meet your client’s business goals.

Working with the relevant Senior Account Manager, you will be able to excite the client by proving to them that you have the answer to their challenge and you’ll retain them by spotting additional opportunities, ways to improve and always leading teams to deliver against targets. To do this, you’ll need to inspire the Epiphany production teams to deliver a best in class execution of your plan.

Reporting directly into your Head of Department and supporting the Client Partner, you must be able to manage the competing needs of the agency to make sure the client always gets the best result. This means staying at the forefront of your sector to ensure our strategies and recommended ways of working keeps us ahead of our competitors.

You will be expected to deliver:

Audience-first strategies
Resource management: advising time allocated to channel activity
Insight and analysis, spotting new opportunities for your client’s audiences and campaign development
Line management and mentoring of more junior members of the team
Regular client contact
Support to the new business team

Overlay in-depth service line expertise to the overarching multi-channel strategies set by the Client Partners to create relevant organic/paid plans of activity to be delivered by the wider agency
Collaborate with fellow Senior Strategists to ensure all elements of activity are delivered efficiently and effectively to ensure client goals are achieved and surpassed
Make recommendations as to the allocation of time and subsequent team resource required
Regular client contact with day to day teams, both client and agency-side
Attend and run frequent team meetings to ensure strategy is being delivered against by production teams with multiple workloads and client objectives
Make sure Client Partners, clients and the wider business are up to speed on latest industry advances
Support the new business process wherever required

A track history of developing and delivering successful organic/paid strategies
A desire to stay at the forefront of the search industry, with an ability to upskill and mentor more junior members of the wider business
Experience of working successfully with high profile clients and large budgets
An understanding of the customer journey and the impacts that can be made by actions at the right time and through the right channel
An ability to translate the latest industry advances, as well as describe new Epiphany products and services, to clients and other partners as relevant
An in-depth understanding and extensive experience of working in SEO and paid media
Experience of leading large delivery teams
Ability to work in partnership
A strategic thinker and influencer
Excellent communication skills
